THE EASINGWOLD SINGERS

THE CHOIR

The Easingwold Singers is a mixed voice choir (SATB) of 45 to 60 singers. The aim of the singers is to provide local audiences with good choral music. It's recent repertoire has ranged from Bach to Vivaldi. There is no audition, but members are expected to learn their music thoroughly.

CONCERTS

Concerts are usually held in December and May each year. Our Christmas concert will be on Saturday 4 December 2010 at St John The Baptist and All Saints Church Easingwold commencing at 7.30 pm. The programme will include Handel's Messiah Part 1 plus the Hallelujah Chorus, carols for both choir and audience and a mystery piece to mark the 75th anniversary of Making Music, an organisation to which we are affiliated and which offers assistance to music groups like ours nationally. The Easingwold Singers will be accompanied by soloists and organ.

NEXT TERM

In the Spring term 2011 we shall be rehearsing pieces yet to be confirmed for the next concert to be held on Saturday 14 May 2011 at the Galtres Entertainment Centre. This will be our first performance at this venue so we are looking forward to the experience
